The main camera can hold a microSD card that records your driving activity – we purchased a 32GB one since the instructions said that was max – and it stores each camera’s activity (front and back) individually and has a GPS slot. Don’t rely on the instructions to fully understand the product because they are not written well. We played with it quite a bit to figure out the functions and I’m sure have much more to learn. When driving, you can let it record in 2-3 minute loops or set it to go continuously. If you want to save footage, you can and it has an impact detection that locks accident footage from being overwritten. My husband was thrilled it also showed the date and time and will auto record when vibration is detected.
Overall, the HD videos are excellent in quality, the cameras are easy to mount (suction cup or included 3M adhesives) and the cable reaches to the back of an F350 shortbed easily. The set also included a car adapter to power up the camera and a USB cable. Great dash/rear cam set that provided much more functionality than we had hoped.
I received this product free in exchange for my honest unbiased opinion and I am in no way obligated to leave a certain rating. I rely on reviews when making my own purchase decisions and only provide honest reviews after using or testing a product. I hope this helps you in making your own purchase decisions.
