Mcoley Collapsible Handle Spinning Fishing Reel for 2000 3000 4000 5000 6000 Series (Misc.)

As a very active fishing family, I was thrilled to test this Mcoley spinning reel. I purchased the AD4000 model and immediately liked how it felt in my hand. I typically find reels are a bit weighted for me but not this one. This particular model is good for several types of anglers that fish ocean, lake, creek, pond or streams. My reel holds quite a bit of line and for now, I put 100 yards of 8lb line to test it. I did some test casts until I could hit the lake and really like the smoothness of the lever when casting and the ease of reeling the line in. My husband is more on the techy side and said the reel has a great machined aluminum spool and is designed well with the sealed ball bearings. He also said the casting control is adjustable which will be good for me switching between lakes and rivers. The base of the reel is graphite so good quality material was used to make the reel. We took apart the internal housing from the drag knob back and the housing is well done with solid materials as well. I think what impressed us the most was the price of this reel is low for the quality. It really is simple to use and I can’t wait to hit the water. I’ll update pics with some action shots when I get my fish!
